Delete Your Munch Method Account
You can delete your account at any time by either method below.
How to delete your account
Method 1, In-app (instant)
Delete directly in the app
- Open the Munch Method app
- Tap your avatar
- Tap Profile
- Scroll to Account Actions
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm when prompted
Deletion begins immediately. Your account and data are removed from our servers within minutes.
Method 2, By email
Email us (for users who've uninstalled)
Send an email to support@munchmethod.com with:
- Subject: Account deletion request
- Body: The email address linked to your Munch Method account
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What gets deleted
- Account credentials and login identity (email, Apple ID, Google ID association)
- Display name and profile photo
- Dietary preferences, allergen settings, and cuisine preferences
- Household membership and partner association
- All recipe swipes, likes, skips, and matches
- Planned meals and cooking history
- Pantry contents
- Shopping list
- Any custom-added ingredients or notes
- FCM push notification token
What may be retained after deletion
- Anonymized crash reports, no personal identifiers, automatically deleted after 90 days
- Aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics (e.g. "how many users cooked Italian food this week"), no link to your account
- Any records we are legally required to retain (currently none applicable)
Timelines
In-app deletion Immediate (within minutes)
Email deletion Within 30 days of request
Full backup purge Within 90 days (standard backup rotation)
Crash reports Anonymized at 90 days, no personal link
